Catbird Music Festival at original Woodstock site: See lineup for 2-day concert in Upstate NY
The lineup has been revealed for a new music festival at the original Woodstock site in Upstate New York.
The inaugural Catbird Music Festival will take place Aug. 19-20, 2023, on the historic field in Bethel, N.Y. The Lumineers will headline Saturday, Aug. 19, and Tyler Childers will headline on Sunday, Aug. 20; music will begin at noon on both days and continue all day.
The rest of the lineup includes the Trey Anastasio Band, The War on Drugs, Band of Horses, Trampled by Turtles, Margo Price, James Bay, Dispatch, Amos Lee, Morgan Wade and Charley Crockett.
Presale tickets will be available starting Wednesday, March 8 at 10 a.m.; fans can sign up for a presale code at catbirdmusicfestival.com. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at a later date.
Prices start at $140 for one-day general admission and $199 for a two-day pass. There will also be VIP tickets (starting at $375 for one day), platinum passes (starting at $1,250 for both days) and options for camping, glamping, RV passes and premium parking; general day parking is free.
It’s unclear where exactly fans will be able to camp, but the festival website mentions both the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and “the historic ‘69 Woodstock grounds.” Bethel Woods CEO Eric Frances told regional tourism officials earlier this month that the event will take place on the field at Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, N.Y.; the Bethel Woods amphitheater is located near Yasgur’s farm and is home to the Woodstock museum.
