High competition for admission to UMF "Carol Davila" in the Capital
On the 1,623 places put up for competition, of which 1,245 are financed from the state budget and 378 with a fee, 3,497 people apply.
"For admission to undergraduate studies at our university, this year we are witnessing a new record in terms of the number of candidates enrolled, 3,497 high school graduates, 70 more compared to those who competed last year and 171 in more than the number of those enrolled in the 2020 edition, a fact that shows us an amplified and continuous interest of young people in the medical profession", declared rector Viorel Jinga, UMF "Carol Davila" reports.
At the same time, 24 Olympians opted for medicine, being admitted without competition, according to MEC rules. 23 candidates who obtained an average of 10 in the Baccalaureate took the entrance exams.
At the Faculty of Medicine, there are 718 places available for which 2,405 candidates applied, a close number to 2,337 candidates in 2021. At the Faculty of Dental Medicine, there are 552 candidates for 215 places. At the Faculty of Pharmacy there are 115 candidates for 120 places. At the Faculty of Midwifery and Medical Assistance there are 425 candidates for 192 places, of which General Medical Assistance 268 places, Balneophysiokinetotherapy and medical recovery 70 places and Dental Technique 87 places.
