You were nominated in the Best Actor (Female) category for the portrayal of Sabila in 'Ladies & Gentlemen.' How does it feel to get this special recognition?
I feel honoured for the nomination. It was a very special project, the first OTT work of the acclaimed director, Mostofa Sarwar Farooqi, and I got to work with amazing actors like Afzal Hossain and Partha Barua. The character Sabila is a favourite of mine, and audiences really appreciated her role as they understood and identified with her struggles, so it feels very good to be nominated for portraying her.
How much do you identify with Sabila yourself?
I absolutely loved the fact she is a headstrong and confident girl. It was like my feelings were aligned with her outlook; she knew what she wanted, and worked diligently for it amidst all the odds working against her. She wanted justice more than anything and her indomitable spirit is something that I identify most with.
What has been actor Tasnia Farin's biggest struggle and how does she overcome it?
I would say my biggest struggle is to explore my potential fully, to push my limit. Projects that are challenging and will constantly push me and help me grow as an artist is what I look forward to most, so in a sense, my struggles are never-ending but that's what keeps pushing me to do better always.
