Indonesia set to launch its latest satellite next year
Indonesia hopes to launch its latest satellite next year, likely in the fourth quarter which would eventually benefit 150,000 public service points.
The 'Republic of Indonesia Satellite Project' (SATRIA-1) is currently in the development stage, with 68.3-percent completion cumulatively, and is projected to orbit in 2023, according to Antara news.
This was revealed by the director of the Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) of the Communication and Informatics Ministry, Anang Latief.
"For the orbital slot, SATRIA-1 will use the orbital slot 146 E. SATRIA-1 is currently in the construction process that began at the end of 2020 and will continue until the end of 2023.
