Komšić: Let’s Never Forget to Whom We Owe This Freedom of Ours Today
Željko Komšić, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, delivered a heartfelt congratulatory message on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 20th anniversary of the 2nd Infantry (Ranger) Regiment.
In his message, Komšić highlighted the significance of April 15, 1992, marking it as a pivotal date in the modern history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He noted that on this day, the Army of the Republic of BiH was officially established by the decision of the Presidency. As the nation celebrates this anniversary, he emphasized the importance of remembering the army's honorable struggle for justice, freedom, and the dignity of all citizens, as well as the heroic fighters who demonstrated unwavering will, courage, and humanity.
Komšić stressed the duty of all citizens to preserve the memory of those who sacrificed their lives and to continue building Bosnia and Herzegovina as a nation rooted in justice. He urged everyone to acknowledge the superhuman efforts of the fighters of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have become an integral part of the nation’s identity.
In closing, he congratulated all former members of the Army and those who respect its universal values, celebrating the 33rd anniversary of its founding and the 20th anniversary of the 2nd Infantry (Ranger) Regiment.
