Ministry of Education seeks to revalue the teaching career
Minister Rosendo Serna affirmed that the regulations approved by the Ministry of Education (Minedu) during the current administration are aimed at revaluing the teaching career and restoring the rights of teachers, who will be systematically served with a territorial approach that contribute to strengthening the decentralization process.
During his participation in the XII Decentralized Council of Ministers that took place in Huánuco, the head of Education stated that the objective is to vindicate and benefit teachers who were forgotten for decades.
“All regulations on teacher appointments, reassignment, director assignments, promotions in the teaching ladder, among other processes carried out by the Minedu, have the objective of recovering the rights earned by teachers,” he pointed out.
Serna pointed out that his sector is working on the new salary scale for teachers and considered that this is an important objective that will serve to recognize the work of the teaching profession. "All these actions have a territorial approach to address diversity and strengthen the decentralization process."

On the other hand, he indicated that the Minedu has started the consultation process to evaluate the new National Curriculum, so that any citizen can make contributions to later consolidate a more pertinent document that helps to link the teaching of basic education and higher education.
Regarding the budgetary programs of the sector, he stated that the pedagogical support and the National Educational Infrastructure Program (Pronied) will be decentralized with the aim of streamlining the processes and accelerating the progress of the technical files to carry out works that will help close the gap in infrastructure.
In this regard, he said that one of the priorities of his management will be the construction of a modern infrastructure for the High Performance School of Huánuco and the educational institutions of Santa María del Valle and the province of Pachitea. Read More...
