MIYAVI’s releases single “We Stay Up All Night (La Da Da Da)
MIYAVI has just released his latest single, "We Stay Up All Night (La Da Da Da)," on August 30, much to the excitement of his fans who had been eagerly anticipating it following a week-long social media countdown. The new track is now available on international streaming platforms, and a lyric video featuring MIYAVI alongside choreographed dancers has been released on YouTube.
The release comes with additional exciting news: MIYAVI's upcoming album, Lost in Love, will be available internationally starting October 9. This album, which has been a physical release in Japan since April, will finally be accessible to fans worldwide. The nine-track album will include previously released songs such as "Broken Fantasy," "Tragedy of Us," and "Eat Eat Eat."
"We Stay Up All Night (La Da Da Da)" continues the dark, pop-rock theme that has characterized MIYAVI’s recent releases. While the song may initially seem like a high-energy anthem about partying, a closer listen reveals more personal and introspective lyrics. Phrases like "When I was a little kid, fear was my friend. Darkness no end. Sorry Ma, I messed up again" hint at the artist's inner struggles and vulnerabilities.
In a statement to Billboard, MIYAVI shared that Lost in Love reflects a three-year journey of sonic exploration. He described how he stepped outside his artistic comfort zone, taking his time to push boundaries and create what he considers his best work. Despite his long career in the music industry, MIYAVI noted that this project required him to embrace vulnerability, which he felt was necessary for producing something truly meaningful.
