MyCEB organises events worth RM352mil to date
Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has organised 75 business events in the country, up to August this year, translating into a contribution of RM352mil.
Among the business events were the World Congress of Nephrology 2022, International Printing, Paper, Packaging Machinery Exhibition 2022 and the 21st International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition 2022.
Chief executive officer Datuk Seri Abdul Khani Daud said the reopening of Malaysia’s border allowed MyCEB to reshape the business events industry and restore economic activities in the country.
“We launched our Malaysia Business Events Strategic Marketing Plan for 2021 to 2030, aimed at bringing more large-scale events here, including a plan to bid for the World Expo.
“So far, we have successfully won 166 business event bids for 2022 to 2030,” he told Bernama.
Abdul Khani said that over the past 12 years, the many business events held in Malaysia have led a thriving industry.
It has enabled MyCEB and its strategic partners to host 1,651 business events, which duly generated an estimated RM16.7bil to the economy. Read More...
