Power Nickel Leverages Fleet Space Tech to Unlock Chile's Copper Secrets
Power Nickel has taken a significant step forward in its Chilean operations by deploying Fleet Space Technologies' cutting-edge ExoSphere tool across its Zulema, Palo Negro, and Tierra de Oro sites. This innovative technology has enabled the company to gain a deeper understanding of the region's geology, uncovering significant faulting and new geological structures.
The ExoSphere tool, powered by a satellite constellation and AI, provides real-time 3D subsurface imaging, allowing Power Nickel to create detailed 3D maps of the area. This has led to the identification of new targets and improved exploration outcomes, accelerating the company's progress in unlocking the exploration potential of its 20,235-hectare portfolio in Chile.
Power Nickel's experience with the NISK project in Quebec has demonstrated the effectiveness of using advanced technologies in exploration. By applying ExoSphere's 3D mapping capabilities, the company aims to stay at the forefront of advances in global copper exploration while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.
The Zulema project, located near the La Candelaria copper-gold deposit, shares similar geology, and Power Nickel is using ExoSphere to gain a clearer understanding of the region's structures. Fleet Space's solution has already been successfully used by major mining companies such as Barrick Gold in Pakistan and Inflection Resources in Australia.
