Sinister and Pestilence to Headline Bosnia’s 2025 Eternal Flame Festival

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is set to become the epicenter of metal music on April 18th and 19th, 2025, as it hosts the third edition of the Eternal Flame Metal Festival. Following its official naming last year, the festival has quickly established itself as a must-attend event on the regional metal scene.
The festival will take place at the iconic Dom Mladih, featuring ten bands over two days, showcasing a diverse range of metal genres from extreme Brutal Death Metal to melodic Heavy Metal. Among the lineup, two headliners stand out: Sinister and Pestilence.
Sinister, a well-known name in the global Death Metal scene, returns to Sarajevo after their memorable performance in 2006. With nearly 40 years of experience, they continue to be a dominant force in the genre, promising an unforgettable show for fans.
Pestilence, another headliner, will make their debut performance in Bosnia and Herzegovina at this festival. Renowned for their classic Death Metal sound, Pestilence has been a staple in the scene for decades, ensuring that their performance will be a highlight for attendees.
The festival lineup also includes a variety of other talented bands. Hetrem, a Thrash/Death Metal group from Široki Brijeg, will return to the stage, while Lepra, one of the most respected domestic thrash metal bands, will represent Sarajevo's metal scene. My Last Suicide, veterans of the Banja Luka metal scene, will deliver their classic Melodic Death Metal after a long hiatus.
Additionally, Izrod, Sarajevo’s Black Metal supergroup, promises to attract a significant audience, and Casket, a German Old School Death Metal band featuring a Bosnian drummer, will delight fans with their heavy grooves. Moribund Oblivion, the famous Turkish Black Metal band, will also return, bringing their unique blend of traditional and atmospheric elements.
Other notable acts include Death Valley Knights, a British Heavy Metal band with Warhammer-themed lyrics, and Putridity, known for their extreme Brutal Death Metal sound.
With such a diverse lineup and the presence of legendary headliners, the Eternal Flame Festival 2025 is poised to be an unforgettable celebration of metal music in Sarajevo. Fans from across the region and beyond are encouraged to mark their calendars for this exciting event.
