Six Medals and Three Cups for BiH at the European Club Taekwondo Championship
Bosnian-Herzegovinian competitors and their clubs achieved remarkable success at the European Club Taekwondo Championships held from April 12 to 14 in Tallinn, bringing home a total of six medals and three cups in the team standings.
Džejla Makaš from TKD Novi Grad Sarajevo secured a gold medal in the 46 kg category, while Ada Avdagić from TKD Sarajevo also claimed gold in the 53 kg competition.
Silver medals were awarded to Benjamin Husić from TKD Novi Grad Sarajevo in the senior women’s 73 kg category and Katarina Kraišnik, who faced Avdagić in the BiH final. Erol Nući from TKD Mladost became the European vice-champion in the 87 kg category, and Džejna Hamzić from TKD Šampion Sarajevo earned a bronze medal in the senior women’s 57 kg competition.
In the team standings, the seniors of TKD Novi Grad Sarajevo finished in second place overall, with the senior women’s team from the same club also taking second. Additionally, TKD Sarajevo secured third place in the senior women’s competition.
This impressive performance highlights the strength and talent of Bosnian-Herzegovinian taekwondo athletes on the European stage.
