For years, his name has been generating buzz. For the collaborations with Dino D'Santiago (helped in the composition of their albums), Sara Tavares, Kalaf Epalanga and Aline Frazão, for example, but also for their concerts, for their first EP, Ingombota, for the compositions for Ana Moura (with the help by José Eduardo Agualusa) and Cristina Branco, for the duet he recorded in 2017 with the British Joss Stone or for being chosen by Salvador Sobral to perform at the Cool Jazz festival in 2018.
Between Angola and Portugal, Toty Sa'Med gained notoriety, being pointed out by many of his peers and listeners as one of the most prominent talents in Angolan music and her generation (alongside, of course, Aline Frazão) and as one of the great promises of Portuguese-speaking music. At the age of 33, he is getting ready to take an important step in his career: the edition, Friday, October 21, of a first full-length album.
Entitled Moxi, the record, edited by a major (Sony Music Portugal), was composed over two years. Its executive producers are Kalaf Epalanga, a longtime partner, and the British Paul Seiji, both central parts of the team that, behind the scenes and in the recording studios, helped Dino D'Santiago to project himself on records such as Mundu Nôbu ( 2018), KRIOLA (2020) and BADIU (2021).
