The XI National Meeting of Donkey Dancers is held in Carabobo
More than 500 cultivators from nine states of the country participated in the Burras and Burriquitas event
With the participation of more than 500 culturists from nine states of the country, the XI National Meeting of Traditional Burras and Burriquitas Dancers in Carabobo closed successfully.
Richard Mendoza, president of the Institute of Culture and Tourism of Naguanagua, reported that the event took place as every year, in the upper area of the municipality.
He explained that the meeting began in the populous Arturo Michelena community, to later tour the sectors of Bella Vista Norte, Lorenzo Fernández, Juan José Flores, Malagón, La Vivienda Rural de Bárbula, Los Próceres, Fundación Carabobo and Brisas de Carabobo.
Navarro commented that cultivators from the states of Aragua, the Capital District, La Guaira, Miranda, Yaracuy, Lara, Anzoátegui, Cojedes and Carabobo participated in the traditional event.
He reported that dancers from the municipalities of Puerto Cabello, Valencia, San Joaquín, Diego Ibarra, Guacara, San Diego, Juan José Mora and Naguanagua attended the regional representation.
“This activity is organized by the NaguanNorte Foundation and we have the logistical and technical support of the management of the mayoress of Naguanagua, Ana González. We are happy to have received the states that visited us, as well as the delegations from Carabobo. Seeing them here, also honoring women who have been involved in cultural life for many years in the municipality fills us with joy,” she said. Read More…
