Warsaw Girls Basketball Ready for 4A State Championship
The Warsaw girls basketball team is poised to seize their opportunity to win the IHSAA Class 4A state title this Saturday. With an impressive record of 26-1, the Tigers secured their spot in the state finals by defeating the previously undefeated top-ranked Hamilton Southeastern 67-61 in the Semi-State championship.
This marks Warsaw’s first appearance in the state finals since 2004, and the team is eager to capture its first title since the 1978 season. The Tigers will face off against South Semi-State champion Lawrence North on Saturday, March 1, at 8:15 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
As the excitement builds, the Warsaw community rallies behind the team, hoping to witness a historic victory and a return to glory for the Tigers' basketball program.
