Weather in Bulgaria: Sunny in the East with Rain Showers in the West

The weather forecast for today indicates predominantly sunny conditions. However, as we progress into the afternoon, cumulus clouds are expected to form, albeit in isolated pockets primarily in the western regions of the country. These clouds may bring brief periods of precipitation. The wind will be gentle, blowing from the east-southeast. Maximum temperatures will range between 24°C and 29°C, with Sofia experiencing temperatures around 24°C.
Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will also be mostly sunny. A light to moderate southeasterly wind will be blowing. Maximum temperatures will reach 23°C to 25°C. The temperature of the seawater is approximately 21°-22°C. The sea will be relatively calm, with an excitement level of 1-2 points.
In the mountainous areas, expect mostly sunny conditions as well. However, as we move into the afternoon, cumulus-rain clouds will start to form over the massifs of Western Bulgaria. In some areas, rainfall is expected, and there is also a possibility of thunderstorms. A moderate wind will blow from the east-southeast. At an altitude of 1200 meters, the maximum temperature will hover around 18°C, while at 2000 meters, it will be around 12°C.
Looking ahead to Saturday, cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will develop over the northwestern regions before noon, and by the evening, they will extend across most parts of the country. On Sunday, we can anticipate short-term precipitation, accompanied by thunder, primarily in Western and Central Bulgaria. The northwestern half of the country is likely to experience intense and significant rainfall, with a possibility of hail. Daytime temperatures will experience a slight drop.
On Monday, we can expect an increase in sunshine hours. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will become less frequent. However, on Tuesday, the probability of short showers and thunderstorms will rise again, especially in the western half of the country, with mountainous areas experiencing more intense precipitation. Hail is also a possibility. Temperatures will rise once again, and most parts of the country will see temperatures exceeding 25°C.
