WhatsApp first introduced a feature that allows a user to delete their messages in a group in 2017. Initially, there was a time limit of eight minutes, but over time, the social network adjusted this time limit to 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds
However, in the last year, there were indications that the application would further expand this limit. The change was never released, and those responsible for this type of functionality always struggled with what was the acceptable limit. Now, the information has come to us that the time must be extended.
The WABetaInfo website reports that WhatsApp has increased the time limit for deleting sent messages to 2 days and 12 hours for some users in beta version v2.22.15.8, i.e. the latest.
The main rival, Telegram, allows its users to delete messages sent within 48 hours of sending them, that is, in this field, with this launch, WhatsApp gains a 12-hour advantage.
In the beta version of WhatsApp there is no way for the user to know about this feature. In this way, it is necessary for the user to try it out by sending a message to a group and then try to delete it after a few days.
