The "Piano Solely" project, along with the debut album of the same name by the talented composer and pianist Aleksej Sokolov, has been unveiled at the Staff Gallery.
For his first performance in Belgrade, Sokolov endeavored to provide a comprehensive audio-visual experience to the assembled admirers of contemporary piano expression. With the collaboration of stage designer Alisa Solovieva and visual artist Aleksandar Lyapunov, the event offered a unique ambiance. The specially designed scenography at the Staff Gallery infused a cosmopolitan mood, resonating brilliantly with the audience.
The album features six solo piano compositions, each blending superb melody with an array of emotions—warmth, sadness, defiance, melancholy—through swirling arpeggios. The cohesive and captivating music expresses emotions in ways that words often cannot.
