Angola win gold medal at African Jiu-Jitsu Championships
Angolan women Marcelina Kayolo and Cláudia dos Santos won this Friday, in Luanda, their first gold medals at the African Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which is being held at the Kilamba Multipurpose Pavilion.
From Huila province, Marcelina Kayola, in the traditional style won by withdrawal of the opponent in the category of less than 45 kg.
The other gold medal was won in the under 70 kg category, by Cláudia dos Santos, in Brazilian style, who defeated Joselaide Fragoso, also from Angola, by 8-0.
Besides Angola, the national teams of DRC, Ethiopia and Mauritius are also competing, in a tournament that ends on Sunday. Read More...
