Four people hospitalised after fire breaks out in Antwerp tanning centre
Four people have been taken to hospital after fire broke out at a tanning centre in the Antwerp district of Hoboken. The fire started in the rear of the building and soon the tanning centre and the flats above it were filled with black smoke. Four residents of the flats were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.
The fire started just before 7pm on Saturday at the tanning centre on the Kapelstraat. The Fire Service went to the scene in numbers. When fire fighters arrived the rear of the building was engulfed in flames. The fire produced a large amount of smoke and this spread to a stairwell that leads to flats that are located above the tanning centre.
