Ho Chi Minh City Children's Book Fair Commences
Commencing under the auspices of the Department of Information and Communications, the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Book Fair is set to captivate attendees until June 7th. The fair boasts a remarkable collection of approximately 16,000 book titles spanning various genres. In addition, visitors can look forward to an array of engaging activities, including exchanges, book launches, and interactive sessions.
As a special treat, the fair offers enticing discount programs, granting young readers up to a generous 20% off on their cherished literary treasures. Such initiatives aim to provide children with enhanced opportunities to acquire their favorite books and foster a love for reading.
Within the framework of the book fair, a thought-provoking forum titled "Nurturing Active Thinking in Children: Technology in the Digital Age" is scheduled to take place on June 6th. The event seeks to share effective strategies for educating children, enabling them to adapt to the evolving environment, and equipping them with the indispensable knowledge and skills required to thrive in the digital era.
During the grand opening ceremony, the organizers announced the inaugural Ho Chi Minh City Children Books Awards, which honor outstanding literary works tailored for young readers. Entries for these prestigious awards may be submitted from June 2nd until the end of January 2024.
Lam Dinh Thang, the Director of the Department of Information and Communications, elucidated that the primary objective of these awards is to promote and elevate both the quality and quantity of children's literature.
