Johan Falk becomes a book at Bokfabriken
Film and TV hit Johan Falk returns in book form at Bokfabriken!
Film director and screenwriter Anders Nilsson makes his debut as a fiction writer with a brand new book series about the beloved policeman Johan Falk.
- Already at the cinema premiere of the first Falk film in October 1999, Noll tolerans , the idea of writing books appeared, says Anders Nilsson. And even then I thought that there are stories that fit better in film, and then there are stories that fit better in book form. What I'm writing now really fits like books. I don't even think you could have realized these stories in film form in a good way.
Anders is, together with the film producer and screenwriter Joakim Hansson, the creator of the twenty feature films about Johan Falk . During the seventeen years that the film series was produced, a gigantic research project on Sweden's secret history was also carried out. A project that will also now be published in book form by Bokfabriken.
Spieserna krig is the first part in a suspenseful series about the Swedish intelligence services and what really happened in Sweden during the Second World War and later during the Cold War, all the way up to the murder of Olof Palme.
- I immediately felt at the first meeting with Bokfabriken that we were in sync one hundred percent. They have the same mindset as we as a film team had when we made the Falk films. And they immediately saw the connection between Johan Falk and my other project The War of the Spies .
In addition to the two mentioned book series, Bokfabriken and Anders Nilsson will also jointly develop spinoff series based on other characters in Johan Falk's literary universe as a franchise concept. Read More…
