The 2024 Algerian Senior Tennis Championship concluded on Saturday at the Federal Training Center of the Algerian Tennis Federation (FAT) in Ben Aknoun, Algiers, with MC Alger athletes Toufik Sahtali and Amira Benaissa emerging as the champions in their respective singles competitions.

In the men's singles final, Toufik Sahtali showcased his exceptional skills by defeating his young teammate, 15-year-old Yacine Meghari, with a commanding score of 6-0, 6-1. On the women's side, Amira Benaissa claimed the title after a hard-fought battle against her teammate Melissa Benamar. Benaissa secured her victory with a score of 6-3, 7-6, demonstrating resilience and skill in a closely contested match that highlighted the competitive spirit of the tournament.

The dominance of MC Alger extended to the doubles competitions as well. In the men's doubles final, the duo of Toufik Sahtali and Yacine Meghari triumphed over Ramzi Brahimi from USM Annaba and Abdelkrim Bensoman from MCA, winning decisively with a score of 6-0, 6-3.

Similarly, in the women's doubles, the pair of Amira Benaissa and Melissa Benamar emerged victorious against their fellow MCA teammates, Yara Mebarki and Houda Benamar, with a score of 6-1, 6-1. This clean sweep in both singles and doubles categories underscores the strength and depth of talent within the MC Alger tennis club.

The championship, which began on Wednesday, featured a total of thirty-nine athletes, including 28 men and 11 women. Participation was open to athletes ranked in the 1st and 2nd series, quarter-finalists of the 3rd series National Championship, finalists of the Junior National Championship, and the winner of the Cadet National Championship.
