The Boys star has show cancelled by Netflix after just one season

The Boys star Elisabeth Shue's latest show On the Verge has been quietly cancelled.
The actress played Anne in the 12-episode Netflix show about four middle-aged women from different socio-economical backgrounds navigating the curveballs of love and work in a pre-pandemic Los Angeles.
The news was confirmed by show creator and lead actress Julie Delpy in the form of a reply on Instagram.
A fan had inquired for an update on the show's second season in her latest post, before Delpy shared the disappointing news.
"Cancelled," she responded. "But they forgot to announce it was cancelled."
On the Verge debuted last September and starred Shue and Delpy alongside Sarah Jones and Alexia Landeau.
Shue had previously appeared in The Boys as one of the show's season main antagonists, Madelyn Stillwell. Her character died at the end of the first season, but made a brief posthumous appearance in the following season.
Fortunately, the Oscar-nominated actress still has a few interesting projects up her sleeve.
She recently made her return to The Boys universe, voicing her character's animated version in The Boys Presents: Diabolical, and appeared alongside Uma Thurman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Kyle Chandler in biographical drama series Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber.
She will be seen as the lead in TV movie Constance, playing a former beauty queen who is forced to reinvent herself after her husband's untimely death leaves her penniless. Read More…
