The feature film "Soula" by director Salah Issaad won Friday night the Prize for the best feature film of the Beirut International Women's Film Festival in Lebanon, announces the film team.
Released in December 2021, "Soula", the director's first feature film, had its world premiere at the International Thread of the Red Sea Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
An Algerian-French-Qatari-Saudi co-production, this 92-minute fiction portrays a young single mother, caught in the grip of her family, who rejected her for having dishonored her, and of her society, full of of contradictions.
