Là¡ngos, Favourite Food of Balaton Tourists, Expected to Be More Expensive.
Péter Makkos, a restaurant owner in Fonyód, who is the president of the National Interest Representation Association of Trade and Hospitality Entrepreneurs in the Fonyód region, said that

István Kemerle, the “Pippi Papa” of Lake Balaton, already raised the price of the basic lángos by 50 forints (a little more than 10 cents) last year, and it will probably go up from May. The basic, plain lángos will remain at 600 forints (1.60 euros) in his mobile buffet, with toppings costing an extra 50 forints. As long as he doesn’t have to pay more rent, he can keep this price.
However, beachside lángos vendors cannot save money like that, with plain lángos going for 1,300 forints (3.50 euros) each. Read More...
